From “Already Seated”

You Already Have a Seat

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)

Paul says God "raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms." Notice the tense. He did not say God will seat you someday. He already has.

A lot of us live like we are still trying to get a seat at the table. We are working for approval and fighting for a place. But in Christ, your seat is settled.

When the world tells you that you do not belong, remember where you are seated. You are already seated with Christ, so walk like it today.

Reflect

How would you live differently this week if you believed your seat with Christ is already settled?

Pray

Lord Jesus, thank You for raising me up and seating me with You. When I feel like I do not belong, remind me where You have placed me. Amen.

“He did not say God will seat you someday. He already has.”
