But Because of His Great Love

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,

Ephesians 2:4 (NIV)

Everything changes at the word "but." Paul has just described us as dead in sin, and then he writes, "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy."

Your story has a "but God" in it. You were headed one way, but God. You thought it was over, but God.

His mercy is not running low. He is rich in it. Whatever you did yesterday, there is more mercy for you today.
